According to the news, 2009 will be a new record in bribery. Lobbyists will have spent in excess of $3 billion convincing elected officials to vote their way. Bribery by any other name is still bribery-and it sure doesn't smell like a rose.

I went to a wine tasting book reading party. You had to read between the wines.

The FTC accuses Intel of stifling competition. Yet our government continues to allow/approve mergers that create monopolies (banks, investment companies, cable, broadcasting....) I guess Congress has a monopoly on monopolies.

So taxpayers provide money to the banks so they can lobby against reform!? I guess that's the multiplier effect of putting money in circulation-it's given back to the source.

For over 50 years, West Virginia has been giving the Byrd to the Senate. (Senator Byrd is over 90 years old-note I did not say that his IQ was that high.)
