the new book must be futuristic because no one as yet has figured out what the problem is, much less how to fix it. All the carpenter's families have known this was coming for years. When 2+2 doesn't equal 4, you know there's a problem. We don't know why it took the banks and the government so long to notice. The stock market is actually where it was before the housing market skyrocketed.
