Star Trek lives on. Look at all the Klingons in DC! Where is Scotty when you need him?
An old Country &Western hit song has been rededicated to the sub-prime market victims: “Lien on Me.”
Campaign reform legislation reminds me of the game with 3 walnut shells and a pea. You know the problem is still there, you just don’t know where and we still get pead upon.
Because of severe tree molluskation in the DC Area, President Bush finally approves stem snail research. (Is that bushwhacking?)
Contamination cleanup always seems to be done with government funds. Why aren’t the contaminating companies being held accountable? Chemical and other companies using potentially hazardous materials should be required to put money in escrow for such events. Currently some companies take the profits and stick us (taxpayers) with the clean up. But this applies to most of the messes coming out of DC.
A Catholic Priest should give an invocation at a combined meeting of the house and senate (smaller case intentional in view of the 20% approval ratings) and require each person there to complete a personal “Act of Attrition.” (Act of Contrition not considered long lasting or strong enough).
New diagnosis of dentists’ mood swing-bi-molar.
Are Weight Watchers and LA Weight Loss considered diatribes?
If The Rambler causes your use of a dictionary, join the club. I have to look up some words abuse them properly.
The food supplement industry is totally unregulated. Snake oil is still being sold (Omega 4?). Unsubstantiated claims are made. Who knows what testing is taking place, if any, or what’s in the contents. Remember the deaths due to diet supplements? Is this problem caused by campaign performance enhancers provided to the congressmen and senators by the makers or distributors of these items? There have been some unexplained bulges in certain campaign chests. Definitely food (or vitamin) for thought.
After the election, VP Cheney aims to have a face off with his successor.
When will the house and senate address the issue of false charities? There are a number of them that are bogus as heck and prey on retirees with official sounding names and official looking mailings. Others take money from people who think their money is going to veterans. The only charity for some of these “agencies” is to those running them. Any agency that gives any less than 70% of its revenues to the stated cause should have its charitable status revoked.
Atheists don’t have a prayer of getting a contribution from me.
I believe in reincarnation, DC is the 2nd Tower of Babble.
