Rambler 5

New Tolkien sequel to Lord of the Rings is rumored to have all of the various characters cohobbitating.

I used to think pro players received exorbitant pay when you determined the cost per pitch, at bat, etc. I believe these figures pale when compared to the cost per vote of Congressmen and Senators. If you look at their salaries (and days worked) and add their unconscionable retirement pay and medical care and divide by the votes cast, it would be an amazing number. This is without considering how many dollars their votes cost us. I would like to see the GAO conduct such a study-if their calculators have enough decimal spaces.

Democrats are pushing for a referendum to establish a “Bill of Lefts.”

The house page arrested for stealing and wrecking bikes will be charged as a pedalphile according to a DC Police spokesman.

Federal duck conservation law threatens to become a quackmire.

Pharmaceutical studies, as well as ads should clearly state who funded them and not hide behind some innocuous sounding name. Current methods amount to propaganda. Watch some of the ads and try to determine who is sponsoring them.

I suffer from disnexia, trying to figure out what to write about next.

I leave it to you readers to let me know when I have reached a gigglebyte.

Senators and Congressmen no longer suffer from meglomania. They went through gigamania to tetramania. This study is based on a $3.1 trillion budget.

Manufacturers and distributors should be required to list the contents and countries of origin. I have seen Procter and Gamble toothpaste with nebulous wording as to origin. I don’t believe I have seen medications indicating that they contain materials from other countries. Up to 50% of the contents of pharmaceutical products are from other countries including China-leading to a lot of confidence in the FDA and pharmaceutical industry.

The Congressional Building is to be renamed: “Tax’Mall,” replacing the Taj Mahal as 1 of the 7 wonders of the world, not because of the architecture but because of the expenditures inside that leave a lot of us wondering.

According to the ACLU, there can be no more amendments to the Constitution. “Amen” is considered a religious term.

Conservative religious groups are pressuring congress to raise taxes on tobacco products to eliminate reintarnation.

The word is mightier than the sword. But my comments might be swored at by the mightier.
