In a prior rambler I said to vote the existing officials out of office even if we didn’t have replacements. This would pose the question: Wouldn’t this leave us without leadership? We are currently there!
The engineers who develop the parameters for global warming simulations are holding a 5-day supposium.
Late report indicates some members of both houses may be involved in a subprime syndicate: The Costa Mosta. Money lendering charges may result with some collateral damage.
Isn’t it interesting that the elected officials, most of whom are lawyers, claim not to understand the law when it applies to them? It doesn’t work for a plant manager to claim not knowing the law when there are thousands of lawyers writing the laws pertaining to OSHA and other activities for which he/she is responsible? They can write them, but they don’t have to understand or be subject to them. Congressmen give lawyers a bad name.
An expose’ of the children’s cough medicine industry is about to be published: Great Expectorations. Findings may be highly inphlegmatory
Soon, we’ll be seeing our elected officials on high definition. (Does this portend a new definition of the word “Is”?) What we need is xray television to see through the political subterfuge (below ground centrifuge?).
I have recently seen on TV ads by produce growers in FL and CA telling us how much more expensive these items would be if we didn’t have illegal aliens (guest workers) picking them. Most of the fruit and vegetables would have to be imported. What I haven’t seen is a cost comparison on the price of produce versus the long term costs of: schools, health care, Social Security, etc. caused by not addressing the issue. The cost of their fruit is looming.
Pandermonium-the uncontrolled excitement of the crowd waiting to see what new promises a candidate makes.
Pandermoanium-post election reality.
Balderdash-seasoning for bare scalps or another version of pandermoanium but applicable only to the Whigs.
Should retirement pay for senators and congressmen be inversely proportional to the monies they have spent in office?
I sure am glad Clinton and Bush were approved by the moral majority and the evangelicals. Where would we be if we hadn’t elected these two with high morals and ethics?
