A couple of readers have commented on my statements about "rehab" saying readers might get the wrong impression.
I had a couple of trips to the hospital to combat: pneumonia, blocked bowel (a Washington, DC, problem currently) and heart arhythmia. At times, I felt like the gopher game where you beat one down and another pops up.
I set new personal records in the following categories: new low oxygen saturation in the blood; weight 142# (kind of light for 6'2" and a large frame); high heart rate, and low blood pressure.
I did not include the record number of different rooms used at the hospital as the problems changed.
After lying in a bed for a couple of weeks at a hospital, one is sent to a nursing home for rehabilitation-rebuilding strength and stamina. (A couple of people have suggested a need for mental rehab.)
After the nursing home there is home care which involves: nurses, therapists and aids for showers coming to the house to provide service.
In summary, my rehab didn't involve drinking or drugs (a few times I considered both).
The new record low in oxygen (which affects the brain) may account for some of my poor humor.
