I have no financial interest in it, but the Kindle (Amazon about $350) for downloading books anywhere and anytime is one of the greatest and most useful gadgets I have owned. About the size of a movie DVD case, it is easily held and has a few, simple, controls. Font size can be changed to suit the needs of the reader. With the 8gig memory it will hold about 4,000 books. It has a built in communicator that allows downloading a book anywhere (once your account has been established) and it does it in seconds. Some of the classics can be downloaded for about $1.00 each and new books for about $10.00. There is a central location that keeps track of all books you have downloaded for reloading if your Kindle is stolen and you have to buy a new one. It even handles audio books. Time to get off the soap/book box.
