Rambler 1

I have decided to go with an old car name: “Rambler” to disgorge (some of the politics cause another term to come to mind) thoughts on a variety of topics as I see fit or have fits on an unscheduled basis.

This past week my confidence in the Republican Party reached new heights when there was a call for a review of the tapes taken by the Patriots. This has been apparently prioritized by one of our elected nitwits higher than: medical care, illegal immigrants, social security, the war and a few other topics. Not that the Democrats are behind in this category addressing the steroid issues in baseball rates right up there with terrorist threats. Both houses need cleaning.

After listening to the ads listing the accomplishments of those running for office, I have concluded we should not elect them. If they have completed all that they claim to have done, there is no need for them or the office for which they are running (at the mouth). But this should not prevent us from voting out the existing officials.

If any of the elected officials practiced ethics, he/she would have resigned their current position because they cannot perform them properly while running for another office. On second though they do so little of substance when they are in office, it is difficult to distinguish when they are or are not there.

Why are members of the house or the senate addressed as the honorable “”. Aren’t the two mutually exclusive: congressman or senator and honorability?

Has anyone looked at the definition of bribe lately? And donations to the various parties aren’t considered bribes?

The cost of running for office should be paid by taxpayers and should be at a set limit for each type of office. Part of the elimination process should be the ability to budget money and spend it in a frugal manner. If the candidate runs out of money, he/she is out of luck and we’re better off without him/her. It would be our first evaluation of their capability to handle money that wasn’t theirs.

My first attempt at rambling-you can gnash your teeth accordingly. Could then call it a gnash rambler.
